Las Angelitas docents guide visitors on a 50-minute journey through the early history of Los Angeles from its beginnings as a Spanish farming community, to its heyday as a center of Californio culture during the Mexican rancho period, and, finally, to the changes that accompanied the U.S. invasion and subsequent victory, putting Los Angeles on the path to becoming the American metropolis we know today.

FREE 50-minute walking tours of historic El Pueblo de Los Angeles on Saturday at 10 am, 11 am and 12 pm Noon 

Walk-ins are welcome. Groups of ten or more, or groups with special needs, should make a reservation by contacting El Pueblo Visitor’s Center at (213) 628-1274 or by clicking Tour Request at least one week before the requested tour date. If the requested date is available, you will receive a confirmation via email. Tours start at the office of Las Angelitas del Pueblo on the south side of the Plaza, next to the historic Firehouse. Look for the green awning. On the day of your tour, meet your docent at the office of Las Angelitas del Pueblo a few minutes before your tour is scheduled to begin. If you need to cancel your tour, please notify the Visitors Center by calling 213-485-8437.
